graniph is proud to present a line of garments using work from the 60's and 70's of one of the modern masters of typographic design, the American Herb Lubalin. Together with Ralph Ginzburg he created the magazines Fact and Avant Garde, whose logos together with the logo of Herb Lubalin’s own company we use for our garments. The Victoria and Albert Museum is the world's leading museum of art and design, with collections unrivalled in their scope and diversity. graniph have taken patterns from the V&A and turned them into playful contemporary One-Piece designs, which give a fascinating introduction to the variety and beauty of pattern in the Museum's archive. We are collaborating with the productive young winner of the 18th national picture book award. Shogo Sekine is an illustrator working in Tokyo. When little he lived in New York and later worked as a graphic designer in Japan until starting up as a freelance illustrator in 2013. His interests and inspiration lies in typography, fashion, travel and nature and he picks up things and ideas from the things he likes that are around him.His style is personal and hand drawn.
